T.
L. Davis was born in Portland, Maine. He started drawing and
painting at an early age and was encouraged by his parents. Art
work came naturally to Ted, consequently he never thought of
it as a special gift.
T.L.
majored in art at Portland High School where his art teacher
had a profound influence upon his life. Graduating as a civil
engineer and attending the Boston Architectural School, he made
his living designing and constructing residential and commercial
buildings and painted as a hobby.
In
1998 Ted began painting full time at his studio in Bath, Maine.
In 2007 the condo and art studio succumbed to one of the largest
fires in Bath; many paintings and art materials were lost. The
good news is that he and his wife will be moving back into the
rebuilt condo in the fall of 2008.
Ted's
work is included in hundreds of private collections throughout
the United States and the BRAF Gallery in Boothbay, Maine.
